Healthy pancake 6 step recipe!

Banana pancakes are a delicious healthy alternative to regular pancakes! Perfect for breakfast or snacking! And in my opinion they are nicer!

Makes: 10-12 pancakes 74 calories per pancake!

Ingredients:
175g slef-raising flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 large egg whites
1tbsp caster sugar
225 ml semi skimmed milk
1 ripe banana (medium)
1tsp sunflower oil
200g mixed berries (for topping)
4tsp honey or golden syrup (for topping)

Step 1: sift the flour and baking powder into a large bowl. Whisk the egg Whites until they are stiff but not dry and whisk in the caster sugar

Step 2: stir the milk slowly and gradually into the flour mixture, getting rid of any lumps using a metal whisk

Step 3: peel the banana and cut into thin slices and stir into the batter

Step 4: fold a quatre of the egg whites into the pancake batter with a large metal spoon until evenly combined then very gently fold in the rest

Top top: you want to keep as much air in the pancakes as possibe!

Step 5: Brush a large non stick frying pan with the oil and place over a medium-high heat and add 4 large spoon falls on the batter to the pan spacing well appart

Step 6: cook the pancakes for 1 1/2 minuets each side until the surface looks almoast dry and you can see small air bubbles, when they are brown take them off the heat and dish up adding your toppings!

ENJOY!!
